On Wednesday afternoon when my pink eye disappeared we decided to venture out a bit. So off we went to see Pip the mouse, a family tradition that takes me back to my childhood.
Jackson always seems to attract girls. Before the show even began a little girl sat down next to him and she asked him if he'd be her best friend. I think we're in for trouble as he gets older!
Our first day out was for about a total of an hour, but just the escape we all needed.
On Thursday we hopped in the car and took a drive to Ikea. We had been needing to get Jackson a new dresser. Unfortunately it took us longer to put the dresser together then the whole trip! Ikea is an hour away from us. I also bought some pillow inserts, with plans to make covers for them for our living room couches.
Friday we were out almost all day, but the majority of the day was spent at doctor's offices. Check ups for both Jackson and myself for our colds and pink eye. Not what we wanted to be doing on our vacation week, but had to be done.
Saturday, New Year's Eve... we had a great day! We did a little shopping with some gift cards in the morning, we went to see Arthur Christmas at my favorite old theater the Roxy, dinner at the Outback...
and then headed downtown for the early fireworks. They set off fireworks at two different times in Bethlehem. One time for the kids and anyone who can't quite make it until midnight and then another display at midnight, which we heard from the comfort of the couch while Andy and I watched the ball drop on t.v. and Jackson slept in his bed.
Today there will be pork and sauerkraut cooking and we'll take down all the Christmas decorations and give the house a good cleaning. I love New Year's day! Out with the old, in with the new!

If Jackson is attracting girls, then wouldn't that mean you could possibly be having a girl?!
Just a thought!
Pink eye must be going around....I know of a few kids here who have it too. I can see why the girls are attracted to Jackson -- he's a cutie.
