Hi Bee Friends!
I found this tutorial here, but she had revamped it from someone else's tutorial, and honestly it got a tad confusing, so to make things very clear for you I thought I'd just redo the instructions. So here ya go!
Start by sewing 1.5" to 2" wide by 4" or longer strips together.
Trim to a 3.5” x 10.5” rectangle
Add the 2 -10.5” x 1” white strips I sent you onto each long side of the rectangle.
Using a piece of computer paper make a 2.25” square and cut it in half making a triangle. Tape it like pictured above on the underside of your ruler.
Use this as a guide for cutting each corner.
Now you have the center of your first block.
Next take one of the 5” gingham squares I sent you and cut it in half to form two triangles. They are bigger then necessary so be sure to center them along the white strip. Attach a triangle to both of the long white strips. Square off when done.
The four blocks should measure 7.5” each.
After making all four blocks sew them together lining up the white strips.
A few notes:* Please add at least one piece of your own fabric to each block. Keeping in the same colors I've sent you: pink, orange, yellow and green. I love a mixed scrappy look!
*Please send back any larger scraps. I want to make a total of 16 blocks, that way I can use them in the other 4 I will make.
*Any questions let me know! I'm going to finish cutting your fabric this week and get them mailed out on Saturday.
Thank you and Happy Sewing Ladies!!!

Very clear directions, thanks for posting them.
Thanks for posting! I just love this block, such great instructions!
No questions - looks great.
Thanks for this great tute. I found you through flickr. I've been wanting to make this block for a bee I'm in. I was going to use paper foundation but this will be so much easier for my fellow bees. Hope you don't mind if I link to you.
I know I should be smart enough to figure this out on my own...but can you tell me the finished size of this block? 14 inches? Thanks! I think I'm going to make it for my 4x5 Bee.
