Mug Rugs

They are found all over blog world and Etsy, and I was just dying to make some. They're basically mini quilts, a great size for a mug and some cookies, or a mug and some toast, or a mug and some pumpkin pie :)

They also make a nice candle mat, small doll quilt, or even wall art.
Since they are so small it's fun to play around with the quilting. Like trying out my version of snow flakes...

or lots of straight lines.
These can be very addicting, go ahead try making just one... I dare you!

Mug Rugs will be available for sale in my shop soon.

I love your little mug rugs -- especially the dreamy possibility of making a vibrant display of them as wall art. Fun stuff and yes, probably quite addicting.

Those mug rugs look fantastic! What a great way to experiment with your quilting skills. I love the snow flakes on the back of the penguins- totally reversible too!
