Baby Sweater

This sweater was suppose to be for Jackson (only the basic green form of the sweater), but due to some errors on a magazine pattern it turned out too small. My options were to finish the sweater as it were to be for Jackson (which was really only about half way done) to be gifted yet still far from completion. Second would be to rip it out to the first sleeve and make it longer and wider to fit him. Third option was to just take the little green sweater which was at least an almost completed sweater... and just add some trim and gift it. As you can see, I chose the third option. Just a bit of brown picots for the neck, sleeves and bottom edge and a little embroidery for a fall baby and viola' a baby sweater, ready to be gifted and 1 UFO to mark off my list.

great way to turn an error (on someone else's part) into a blessing. Love that picot edging!

And it is so beautiful! Within days you've completed a project. In the blink of an eye you'll be starting something new and exciting, looking back on all you've accomplished! And that is a very good feeling.

how sweet! I love all of the little detailing that you added.

That's so great that you were able to salvage a pattern that wasn't so well written
